I felt like crying.

I sent some of my work to my lecturer for feedback. It’s the first few chapters of a novel in which one of the characters has an eating disorder. My lecturer said it was an inaccurate portrayal of an eating disorder. A real anorexic wouldn’t be so obsessed with food, stealing and hoarding it like the girl in my story. And she would be talking about her eating disorder all the time....
